Prevent invalid characters from being pasted into Sage 200

Currently, it is possible to paste characters into certain fields (such as Stock Item Description) in Sage 200, by copying formatted text from another application (such as Microsoft Word) and then pasting it into Sage 200. These characters can cause problems such as Exporting data for particular Workspaces to Excel.

Please retain the ability to paste into Sage 200 but incorporate something that removes formatting and special characters when pasting.

Idea Benefit It will prevent issues with the data, and investigations determining the cause related problems.
How do you solve for this problem today? You have to identify the invalid character and either remove it by editing the field, export and import or in some cases via an SQL script (only when authorised by Sage).

In terms of "These characters can cause problems such as Exporting data for particular Workspaces to Excel." This was resolved in the latest release as invalid characters are parsed when exporting to Excel from desktop or workspaces.
