It would be useful if we could add more customer contact details, within a company there may be several contacts, such as workshop supervisor, purchase ledger clerk, but there doesn't seem the capacity to enter this detail in sage

thanks for the clarification Sally, and confirming that is it the roles function that Sage 200 Standard does not contain. I've changed this to gauging support and tagged it to be specific to Sage 200 Standard. Its open for voting from the rest of the community.
I believe what Sally may mean is being able to add more info in the contact? I suggested a while ago that they remove the "Salutation" option (as it cant be widely used these days?) and replace it with "Job Title" which would be more useful
Yes I appreciate you can set up as many contacts , there is no limitation I should have maybe worded it better it was more the allocation of a role I was suggesting the problem is you can not assign roles in standard, this is something that is only available in Professional but why cant this also be available in standard as it is such a basic principle to assign a role,
You can set up as many contact details as required, there is no limitation.
Sage 200 Standard does not allow you to set roles, this is functionality in Sage 200 Professional.
In Professional (at least) you can have as many customer contacts as you want and assign role(s) to each one. The list of roles is set up in Accounting System Manager
