Sage 200 UKI Ideas Portal

Setting "Allowed to enter other resources timesheets" works in "Enter Timesheet - Week" screen but not in "Enter Timesheet- Batch" screen.

One of our Engineers incorrectly entered some hours in the incorrect week. They enter their time using the Sage 200 workspace on the web browser.

Myself and one other person have the setting enabled so that we can enter timesheets on behalf of other people. This setting is in Project Accounting > Project Maintenance > Resources. Then edit the person & go to the "Permissions" tab. Tick the "Allowed to enter other resources timesheets" tick box.

I've noticed that I can change the "Works Number" box and select a different employee in the "Enter Timesheet - Week" screen.

However, I've noticed that despite having the ability to enter time on behalf of my colleagues, this doesn't appear to work correctly in the "Enter Timesheet - Batch" screen. The "Works Number" box is greyed out. Unfortunately the "Enter Timesheet - Week" screen doesn't allow negative hours. But I can't enter time on behalf of my colleague in the batch screen so I'm still unable to rectify the problem. It seems very inconsistent that the "Allowed to enter other resources timesheets" setting works in one screen but not the other.

I think the only solution for us in this scenario is to install the Sage 200 app on the Engineers' laptop and get them to use the "Enter Timesheet - Batch" option to reverse their incorrectly entered time.

Is there a way that the "Allowed to enter other resources timesheets" could also apply to the "Enter Timesheet - Batch" screen too please as it doesn't appear to be working correctly.

Thanks

  • Not an idea
Idea Benefit Should be able to use the "Enter Timesheet - Batch" screen and be able to enter time for other resources (if the setting is of course enabled)
How do you solve for this problem today? Unable to. Our Engineers time record using the Sage 200 workspace via the web browser. We've had to get our IT Engineer to install Sage 200 desktop version on an Engineer's laptop to rectify something which others should've been able to do on their behalf causing downtime.

per above comment, this can be achieved.

I've since realised that although the "Works Number" is greyed out in the top left of corner of the "Enter Timesheet - Batch" screen, I am able to amend the "Works Number" on each individual line. I incorrectly assumed that becuase it was only showing my Works Number that I couldn't amend it and post time on behalf of someone else. Apologies.
