Hi,
From speaking to Sage support I gather Bank Feeds has a delay in the polling of information from banking institutions. I've seen information stating that transactions up to midday, can become available to download from midnight that evening through to 8.30am of the following day.
The request is to allow for quicker real time polling. This will allow my customers to adhere to their current business needs. One such customer must clear the bank reconciliation by 2pm so that the sales team can then proceed with deliveries for orders. Being able to pull down transactions from the bank on any given day between 9am-12pm that day will allow this. Currently the customer is doing this all manually due to the delay in bank feeds.
Idea Benefit | Allows customers to reconcile in real time. |
How do you solve for this problem today? | The customer is manually entering transactions into Sage 200. |
Product Variant | Sage 200 Professional (SPC), Sage 200 Professional, Sage 200 Standard, Sage for Education |
all banks might need to get together on this it is off security benefit to both bank and customers if real time info is available 24/7
thanks for the idea, its a little more complicated than just asking our banking service to increase the frequency
Not all banks have API notifications when there is new data to pull
Open Banking has particular rules on how often you can make requests for data
We are working on a new type of bank feed that would allow customers to download from their bank and import as an when needed - this would also support where a bank feed is not currently available. Have a look at this idea as an example.
