It would be easier to find a Nominal Account from the Nominal list if there was an autocomplete that was linked to the account name. There is already the feature to search by account number but not by description.

Thanks for your idea Mark, within the nominal list I believe your asking for it to monitor what you are typing into the search box on the Nominal list, and as you type it to filter the list underneath and it to predicted the phrase you are trying to fully enter.
Within the web portal > Nominal > list, the search works a little differently i.e. if i enter "vehicle" then it will filter and search across all the fields and will show the results dynamically without waiting for you to complete the search text entry.

I'm not sure what you mean by "autocomplete" - please explain.
Are you talking about Nominal Enquiries / Nominal List? If so, try entering the name in the search box! (If you just want accounts starting with a word, add % to the end)
