If I change an item and save it. The BOM isn't updated until I open it, delete the item, then add it again. If this is forgotten, then the wrong out dated part is erroneously added to the BOM, causing errors throughout the system. This took us a long time to figure out why we were having issues, I think this needs to be amended as soon as possible!

I assume here that you refer to the BoM record and BoM Item Line descriptions not being updated when you update them in Stock Control... I'm sure your BP could write a bit of SQL to update this on demand. It is fairly trivial ;)
