Several customers have identified a requirement to bulk update stock item details from Stock Control to Bill of Materials. One particular customer would like to enter a 'Scrap Percentage' on the 'Manufacturing' tab of several thousand stock items, then apply this update to the component stock items against each BOM. However there is no update option available in Bill of Materials Maintenance for anything useful other than 'Update Stock Item Descriptions'. I believe this is currently logged as ITS/Wish 4999.It would save hours/days/weeks/months if there was an update function which worked in a similar way to the CRM data import, where you could map the source fields to the destination fields to select which fields need to be updated against each BOM header/component/operation.
