Currently, Report Designer uses its own naming convention for tables. When writing new reports in Report Designer, most of the time i will have written a MS SQL query to join the relevant tables and i would like to be able to copy and paste that query directly into the Report Designer. As the tables are named differently to SQL i cannot do this which means I have to use the joins editor in Rep Des and manually bring through the tables. This issue is worse with most of the manufacturing reports and layouts which seem to use views with a totally different alias name so even identifying the table or view being referenced is a chore. Please keep Report Designer and SQL consistently named.
