Remove features which the user does not have access to from the columns list

I have discovered that when removing particular features which appear as a column in the list views, this does not remove the ability to view the column. For example, if i was to remove the feature "view stock buying prices" from a users role, that same user would still be able to view the stock buying prices as long as they add the column back to the list view by right clicking on the column headers. This is bizarre as there is no point of restricting roles if the user can simply add the column back and view the restricted data.

Idea Benefit Users cannot view data restricted in their role.
How do you solve for this problem today? We don't, the users can view information that they are not meant to have access to.

This is in the case which the user is not allowed to view information. The features i am referring to are the 'View' features, not the "amend" features, i agree it is helpful in the case of users not having access to amend.

Actually, being able to see this information may sometimes be useful so the user can see but not edit the data.

Maybe a toggle to allow or prevent from seeing that information maybe more useful than a complete removal.
