Warning to stop a posting to a different currency account - ledger account:

Warning to stop a posting to a different currency account>ledger account.

Customer summary:

If the incorrect bank is highlighted for example the euro account, and then a posting is made to a sales ledger or purchase ledger account that is in GBP, there is no warning or ‘lock’ to stop this happening as in sage 50. In sage 50 we could not post from another currency bank to that set up on the ledger account. But in sage 200 we can. But there’s not even a warning to advise that we are posting cross currency.

Is it possible to ‘lock’ this or have a warning come up at least please?

Example shows the Euro bank account selected and a posting is easily made to a GBP account – the only thing to advise that it is a different currency is a ‘£’.

This warning would have to be an option/ setting as some customers will want to do this.
