Option to reset Workspaces

In 2015 and 16 there is no way to reset workspaces customisations (Added columns) on a user level. If I either deliberately or accidentally add / remove columns there is no way to revert the workspace to it's original state without editing the configuration database. Can this be added (ideally this would work similarly to reset desktop settings)?
