We have quotes for clients that are in a order so it might be say Plot 1, Plot 2 etc with the relavant product under that heading. The customer then changes the length or colour and you can't edit that line. You have to delete and then re-add a line which goes to the bottom and then you have to move it up line by line to show back in Plot 1. This could be a number of pages if you have multiple Plots. This used to be a simple change in Sage 50 but is an absolute nightmare in 200
Idea Benefit | Would save a long time in amending a quote |
How do you solve for this problem today? | You can't, you have to delete the line and then re-add at the bottom and then move up sometimes 10's of lines if not more when you might havea 15 page quote |
Yes, one of our support team has spoken to you and fedback to me. I don't think the conversation covered our new Web Screens, rather than the desktop screens. You're right you can't swap one stock item for another on an existing line, you can't insert a line in a table but you can create a new line and drag and drop rather than having to click the Move Up/ Move down buttons multiple times.
We've marked the idea as accepted and we'll gather support from our customer base.
Hello Jo, I took a call from customer services a few days ago and they should have fed back to you now our conversation but they confirmed that this functionality is not available for a SKU only on a free text line and they fully understood the frustration not having this simple functionality when moving across from Sage 50 to 200 where you would think it should be even better!
Thanks for the reply, let me ask our Customer Services team to reach out to you as this is functionality we've added but it is version specific.
Thanks for your message Jo. I have tried this but I don't seem have any more funcationality on the web screen version than I do on the desktop version. I can not edit a line to choose another SKU or to change from one colour to another. I can only amend the description which is no help. I have to delete that line, add it in and then drag it all the way up. the drag and drop function makes it marginally easier but the ability to amend or add a line in the quote where you wanted it (as per Sage 50) doesn't seem to be on my version
This is possible, in the web screen version of Sage 200. Please visit our product help for more information on how to access.
