The ability to select which budget you're reporting against when running financial statements

We set a budget for the start of the financial year. I'm sure plenty of other companies then do a re-forecast. Some might do it after Q1, some may re-forecast every quarter for example.

It would be incredibly helpful if we could select the budget that we'd like to compare against when running the financial statements.

I saw a similar idea already logged (idea 441 from 2015) so I thought it'd perhaps be better to log a new idea with additional info, screenshots etc.

When you import budget information into Sage you are given the choice whether to overwrite the original/existing budget. But given that if you import a new budget, there's not really a way to report against the original budget, it seems a bit meaningless having that option. It'd be great if there were an additional option or filter, when selecting the criteria for the report you are going to generate where you could select which budget to include or compare against eg the original budget, or your re-forecasted budget.
