Sage to enter a balancing DR or CR on Nominal Ledger Journals

Presently we have to enter a balancing figure in Journals - can Sage 200 do this automatically like other accounting softwarwe I've used in the past please?

How do you solve for this problem today? Had to enter the figure myself

    This is surely quite dangerous as it assumes the machine knows what to balance and where to put it. On entering any journal, particularly accruals, it's usual to know the sum total in advance. If one of the debits were entered wrong in a hurry and it went unnoticed, there is no second chance to correct it before posting because the credit is done automatically.

    Sorry , no VAT ��� just to use on nominal ledger journal entry

    Could you provide an example on how you would expect this to work?

    • Where would the balancing journal get posted to?

    • Is it posted as a single entry or does it need breaking down?

    • Is there any VAT involved?
