Ability to clear and rebuild future financial years

Currently if looking to extend the current financial year beyond the end of the first period of the next year and you are shifting you year-end date accordingly moving forward the process to achieve this in Sage 200 is very laborious (extract from the help files below)

For example, you might want to extend the current financial year end by three months, from 31/12/14 to 31/3/15, if you want to reset your financial year start from January to April, for example.

Select Future Financial Years Current Year + 1.
Delete the first three periods which end 31/01/2016, 29/02/2016 and 31/03/2016.
Select This Financial Year.
Click Add New Period, and add three new periods with the following end dates 31/01/2016, 29/02/2016 and 31/03/2016.
Click Yes at the prompt to make the new accounting period your new Financial Year End.
Repeat steps 1 to 5, for each future year as required.
My proposal is to add a function to clear future financial years (to allow the last period of the current year to be extended or additional periods to be added without restriction) and include a function to rebuild or create future financial years automatically (i.e. based on the end date of the current financial year, along with number of periods and maybe period length (calendar monthly to be the default but maybe give an option for 4 weekly).
