Works Orders nominal posting

When stock is added against a works order costs are not posted to the nominal until the full order is completed.

This is problematic because some works orders are large and can span over three weeks. This means that relevant costs are not posted in to the correct month when an order spans month end.

The problem is that in the Works order module costs are not posted to the nominal until the order is called complete meaning that units that belong to one month don’t get posted till the next month. We currently call works orders complete when they are finished but don’t book any stock against them to get around this problem.

What I would like is for the works order module to post these costs to the nominal as stock is booked on to the works order.

It is desirable for us to add stock through the works order module and not the stock module because then we can retain the history of which works order stock was manufactured against without having to enter it manually as a note on the add stock routine. Also we are planning to implement production scheduling and not entering the stock through the works order module may affect our ability to do so.
