When entering a new Sales Order in SOP, any date can be entered without any flag. The date entered should be subjected to validation such that if the date is greater than the current year, or any other parameter as set, then it alerts you to check you are sure of the date. I came across an order in my system where delivery was recorded as the year 2107 rather than 2017. Hence it didn’t appear on my products to dispatch inside the next month. This should be prevented by showing the inputter the error at the point of entry.
