When creating customer and supplier roles, you cannot set it to be a mandatory role. This means you can delete a contact on a SL or PL account, and not have the role be reassigned to another contact. If you try to delete a contact with a mandatory role you get a message stating that you have to move the mandatory roles to another contact.
