Date requested, date promised - can this be simplified?

Not sure why there are both dates as there is also the document date. Seems excessive. Do I not understand the reasoning behind this?

How do you solve for this problem today? Have to click into both dates to get the correct date

    In SOP:

    The customer asks for it to be delivered before next Wednesday - the requested date.
    We will actually deliver it on Tuesday - the promised date

    And vice-versa in POP
