In Sage 50, when you run a Stock Activity enquiry, the movements appear in one of 2 columns, headed adjustment in and adjustment out. Looking down an activity history it is very easy to spot the type or more importantly DIRECTION of movements that you may be looking for. We usually know in advance if a stock line is up or down compared to what we actually have in the warehouse, so knowing the sign or direction of each movement is essential if we are trying to spot an error.
In Sage 200, every movement appears in the same column and there are no signs such as a + or a – even, to indicate which direction the movement is taking. There may well be a list of such movement but nobody wants to memorise that. In any case who is to know whether an allocation or an allocation adjustment is in or out- and that’s all we basically need to know. Are separate columns like Sage 50 possible? Even a + or a - sign would help.
