Within Email Settings of any layout, it is possible to add variables in most fields in this screen. However it isn&t possible to include variables in the body text of the email. If you enter a variable and then emailthe document from Sage, it would just show for example &SOPOrderReturns.AnalysisCode1,& rather than showing the Analysis Code Value. It would be useful if you could use variables in this field in the same way you can in the other fields such as the Subject. This way the email body can be more personal to the customer and also there is less manual work to do for the user sending out the emails.
